Dr. Bailey
Founder & Director of Conscious Ingenuity
Dr. Bailey is a university professor with an academic background in Electrical Engineering (B.S) and Doctor of Engineering. Dr. Bailey’s research involves the study of Africology and its influence in the field of engineering with the purpose of developing effective methods of teaching STEM to African American youth. She designs, implements, and directs pre-college engineering programs. Her work is to increase the participation of African Americans and other underrepresented groups in STEM by combating systemic racism within STEM education.
Charnee Bowens
Ms. Charnee Bowens is an educator with over nineteen years of experience educating students in need of specialized learning supports. She served as a specialist in the public school system and assisted general educators with differentiating and modifying instructional materials for students. Ms. Bowens received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and graduate degrees in Special Education and Educational Leadership from Concordia University and the University of Phoenix. She currently mentors and educates students in Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs in her school district. Ms. Bowens’ educational expertise includes designing, differentiating, implementing, and evaluating academic programs designed for students from grades K-12.
Conscious Ingenuity Instructors

Amon Anderson
Amon Anderson, a PG County, Maryland native, is the Lead Instructor for the Conscious Ingenuity Program and a junior at Morgan State University pursuing a B.S. in Information Systems. He has experience as a teacher’s assistant for Morgan State’s entry-level Electrical Engineering course. As Lead Instructor, Amon manages project inventory, teaches introductory engineering and STEM concepts to elementary and middle school students, and trains other C.I. instructors to ensure accurate lesson delivery. His dedication and expertise are vital to the program’s success.

Nasir Randall

Chaz R. Padilla
Mr. Padilla has been teaching with Conscious Ingenuity for 3 years. He has been the main instructor for the UACI summer camp for the past two summers. A 2024 graduate from Morgan State University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mr. Padilla is able to break down college level concepts to a digestible level for younger scholars. Mr. Padilla fosters a classroom environment where critical thinking is encouraged and curiosity thrives.

Kendal Knox
Kendal Knox is a student at Morgan State University studying Electrical Engineering. He discovered his love for engineering at the age of 12 when he joined a robotics club in middle school. While studying under Dr. Bailey, he was presented with the opportunity to join the program. Combining his passion for teaching with his love of engineering, Kendal saw it as the perfect chance to be part of a successful team and a program dedicated to enriching youth with powerful knowledge of both hard and soft skills.

Jean Nahounou
Jean Nahounou is a senior Electrical Engineering student at Morgan State University. A proud member of the Conscious Ingenuity family for two years, Jean looks forward to the opportunities ahead. He aspires to make significant contributions to STEM and develop pathways for young men and women from similar backgrounds to realize their potential, maximize it, and create life-changing opportunities not only for themselves but also for their families.

Olutobi Kadiri
Mr. Kadiri, raised in Columbia, Maryland, has been teaching in the Conscious Ingenuity program for over three years. A Morgan State graduate with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, he applies his experience as a teaching assistant to deliver high-level engineering concepts to children of all ages. Coordinating with other instructors, he ensures that coursework and activities are understood by all students. Mr. Kadiri exemplifies leadership in the engineering field and hopes to inspire the next generation of young men and women in his community.

Alfred Murdock III
Alfred Murdock III is a senior majoring in Electrical Engineering at Morgan State University, with an expected graduation date in Spring 2025. Passionate about helping students succeed in STEAM subjects, Alfred believes in building strong foundations that empower students to excel in their future endeavors.

Eric Wilson
Eric Wilson, originally from Calvert County, transferred from the College of Southern Maryland to Morgan State University. A senior studying Electrical Engineering, he has been interning with NAVAIR since Summer 2023, gaining hands-on experience with communication systems. In his free time, Eric enjoys bowling, practicing calisthenics, exploring new places, and learning new skills. He values the opportunity to enrich the youth with important lessons and introduce them to the wonders of STEM.

Olatomiwa Telufusi
Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Olatomiwa is a senior Electrical Engineering student at Morgan State University. Under the mentorship of Dr. Maat, he serves as an instructor for Conscious Ingenuity. Entering college with a desire to strengthen his STEM foundation, Olatomiwa joined the program to help younger students access opportunities he once sought. Passionate about sparking curiosity and fostering creativity, he aims to inspire the next generation of STEM trailblazers. Beyond teaching, Olatomiwa enjoys driving and engaging in meaningful conversations.

Ayah Rahman
Ayah, a junior at Morgan State University, is pursuing degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as Mathematics. Hailing from the DMV area, she has five years of experience tutoring mathematics. Ayah plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Engineering and, in the meantime, continues her work with Conscious Ingenuity to increase STEM engagement within the diaspora and support students in their academic growth.

Kenyonta Brown
Keyonta Brown, a junior majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science at Morgan State University, hails from Baltimore City. Having worked on numerous electrical engineering projects, Keyonta plans to further his education in graduate school. Through his work with Conscious Ingenuity, he is dedicated to increasing youth engagement with STEM practices.
